Jackson makes solid guitars, however, that one has a Floyd Rose bridge system. And Floyd Roses are a giant pain in the ass, and as a beginner it WILL frustrate you. I recommend going for a more standard bridge to start off with. Just my recommendation.
Also, Jake or anybody else that might know….This is more of a tax specialist question than a banker question but you still might be able to help.
So basically I been adjusting my W4 at work because I’m trying to get it worked out perfectly to where I get little to no return at income tax time, don’t owe, and get the maximum amount of net per paycheck. My tax return this year was “too big” so to speak cause I could care less bout having to wait for one big lump sum, I want that shit up front every week.
Info is so mixed looking this shit up and it seems impossible to get a straight answer but obviously the main thing is adjusting your allowances and/or dependents on your W4s. But allowances are only on the State W4, not the Federal, and come tax return time, the Federal check is always the big one. I’ve always gotten straight pocket change on the State return, not much is really taken out by State, comparatively.
But in any case, I left my Federal W4 untouched, but changed my allowances on my State to test the waters and make sure I didn’t make too drastic of an adjustment. So I was Single 1, changed it to Single 2. For 3 paystubs straight, the change was reflected and it showed Single 2, but there was no actual change in pay whatsoever. Essentially exact same net pay, exact same hours and OT, and exact same taxes being taken out of each category. So I thought that was weird. Not as big of a change as I was expecting? Sure. But no change at all? Don’t seem right. So I then said fuck it and changed it to Single 3 at the end of last week. This paycheck that I jus got at midnight was suddenly $110 higher than normal. 💀💀
So I fucked up and clearly 3 is too high and I would end up owing, so I need to change it again, but luckily changes take effect almost immediately once you hand in the new W4, so no harm no foul so far, it was only one check like this.
But my problem now is I don’t know what to change it TO. Single 1 resulted in too big a return, Single 2 made no difference whatsoever, and Single 3 is now too MUCH of a difference and would result in me owing money.
So a few specific questions:
1: Is it possible that even tho the paystubs were showing Single 2, the actual monetary effect was delayed and didn’t take place yet, and now the difference on this check was actually a jump from 1 to 3 and not 2 to 3, which is why it was such a drastic difference?
2: What is generally the better/smarter form to change for this outcome? The Federal or the State?
3: If it’s the Federal, then I’ll change my State back to Single 1 and instead alter the Federal, but what specifically would I change on the Federal for a weekly difference? The dependents? And if so, are dependents like allowances where you’re legally allowed to list as many as you want? Because I don’t technically have any actual dependents. So does that not matter like the allowances, or is it a thing where I would end up having to show proof of my dependents?
What specifically is the issue/different about Floyd Rose?
They're hard to change strings, and require set up and tools to make sure everything is intonnated correctly. They require more maintainance than other bridge types, basically
Figured out the tax shit, first off that last check was only so much bigger because they fucked up and paid me for a vacation day that I didn’t take lmfao. So there was mad OT hours on the check, it had nothing to do wit me changing my allowances. Even Single 3 on the State only made like a $5 difference. But long story short, by year end gross YTD, I’ll be in a higher tax bracket this year, so how I previously had everything set was already max per paycheck, little to no tax return, and changing it would result in me owing. So weeks of back and forth and 4 edited W4s later, I’m right back where I started. 💀💀
But good thing was it was definitely a learning process and I now have my head wrapped around the terminology and how everything works and what specifically to change if I ever do need to make adjustments, so it wasn’t completely wasted time. Shit ain’t Chinese to me anymore lmao.
A state farm agent who lives about an hour away from me got busted trying to solicit "booty" pics from a client on snapchat lmao.
Normally I'd just laugh at that, but this dude was disguising himself and the girl didn't know who he was, and he got her number from his book of business.
Dude just got divorced and the power of pussy straight up made him most likely throw away his license lol. It's an anti trust issue with state farm obviously, but I'm pretty sure Difs will find him in violation of something lmao.
So anyways this chick's husband took pictures of all the snaps and posted them on his companies Facebook page and it was being shared by hundreds of people all over the states lmao.
The dude at the box office asked for my phone to send me the ticket and I was like dude my phone is gonna die and my hotel is a 40 minute walk. So he gave me a hard ticket and told me not to tell anyone lol

The state can get fucked though. I haven't even filed a return since all the sites went from free state filing to having to paym
Checking the CSC list by my house and peep the top offender
