I'm obviously not the only person that feels that way. There's already a couple of "agrees" to what I wrote and that article I posted, just as examples. So there's at least 4 of us lol. You seem to be of the opinion that if something gets repeated that it must be true. You haven't said anything in the albums defense aside from "everyone likes it". But you know how many people have told me Lucy in the Sky is their favorite Beatles song because the initials spell out "LSD"??? Too many to count. Must make it a great song though right?
Once again tho you're taking peoples stupidity and putting the blame on the art.. Which is what you always do aka over analyzing.. Objectively regardless of what anybody thinks the song is about it's still a great song yes.. Way more coherent and artistically put together than any single beefheart song
I'm not blaming the art for the audience. I just think the album is boring. I think the Beatles are boring, in general. I said that already. And I'm well informed on this. I've even given it a spin in what's supposed to be it's natural habitat. One of the dudes I used to trip with made me listen to it on acid. I gave it a chance and it still failed. I had to listen to Stankonia to get myself back into a good vibe lol
I'll fully admit they were tremendously influential how could you not say that.. Instrument ally maiden is pretty awesome I just find Dickinson and dio to be tremendously corny and I just can't take them seriously
The Beatles are just like any other British Invasion group; They got away with ripping off black r&b, rock and skiffle music because of racism. Most of their early shit was just covers of Little Richard and Chuck Berry songs. Berry even sued them at one point for plagiarism. So they got fame from ripping off black blues players then they got million dollar equipment and write some disjointed songs that incorporated psychedelic elements. Big whoop

Dude if you don't like the album cool but it doesn't change what the album did to music, you just have to accept that

Influence just about very single metal band thereafter..
