Yeah I spent most of my first week in quarantine drunk that was probably a bad call. But then again, I only had internet through my phone and a PS2 at my disposal. I took advantage of the boredom.
I posted that thing at the end of that week about waking up smelling burning and thinking it was a result of the drinking, but looking back on it I was in an apartment that used to be Newport Naval Base housing. I probably was actually smelling electrical lines getting overloaded.
Doing anything has been obscenely difficult since moving back in with my grandmother at the end of the mandated quarantine. She's nearly 90 and Irish Catholic. I had a Sam Adams with dinner my second night there and got a whole long thing from her so that was fun. I snuck vodka in a cooler up to my room last week since I was sitting on Xbox most of the time but only got into it one night playing A Way Out with a buddy.
This was my first night getting genuinely toasty since then. I won't lie if I didn't say I wanted to keep it going but it is what it is.
My bad if I've gotten annoying posting here every time though. When I get schwifty I want this place to be bopping so I have a constant feed of entertainment.
No biggie, just checking in. The lifestyle you’ve signed up for can be a lonely one and I’m sure the extra isolation doesn’t help, but you’ve gotta manage that path in healthy ways. Steady exercise, decent meals, keeping your mind active etc.
Damn one of Denver's smaller venues shut down permanently due to the covid shit. Saw Pallbearer headline a doon fest there in front of like 100 people. RIP
Trent Reznor decided to share the dates of the fall tour NIN planned but had to scrap. There was a date for Grand Rapids. They haven't played here since 2008.
