When I went there was a dude behind me and the gf texting on his phone... not even on silent. Like it dinged every 30 seconds. I ignored it at first cuz I thought it was a mistake but then it continued. I wound up having to ask him to silence his phone but jesus you'd think thats common sense
I guess nobody else wanted to tell him to get off his phone cuz he was black
I also have bad history because I said something to someone talking too much at Alien vs Predator and it started a fight and I almost got arrested (long story), so I do everything in my power to just deal with it and not make a scene.
Saw the same manager who gave me the Solo poster. I hit her up again and she hooked me up with 2 of the "suit up" posters promo posters and told me to come back again for Ant Man and the Wasp.
I had passes to a press screening. I knew the movie would prolly suck, but I was excited because I love the characters and the Dark Horse comics. So I was with 2 of my friends who were also pretty hyped. So the trailers start and there’s these 2 dorks behind us that were cracking jokes. It was kinda annoying during the trailers, but they just continued into the film. For one, it’s a press screening. In my experience with those, people are kinda studious when it comes to them so they’re usually quiet. But I got in and randoms get passes from friends and such, so I guess that’s who these dweebs were. So the movie starts and I don’t know how many of you have seen it, but the first 20 minutes or so are pretty quiet because they’re descending into a giant cave. The entire fucking time, these dipshits are cracking shitty juvenile jokes about everything. It was making almost everyone in the theater uncomfortable, but nobody would say anything to them. They were just shooting dirty looks at them, but these idiots just weren’t getting the clue. So after an uncomfortable amount of bad jokes, it was really just ruining the movie. I can’t remember what year it was, but I was a lot more aggressive and short-tempered. So I turned around and told them to stfu. I wasn’t aware, but they were a part of a larger group of prolly about 10 people, which was prolly why nobody else said anything to them. So one of the other guys from their group pipes in “Are you gonna let this fat dork tell you to shut up?”. It just escalated from there. Next thing I knew, I was shouting at the faggot that piped in and their group started standing up threatening me. The guys I was with were nerds and they left me alone to avoid trouble. When security came in, since it was pretty much me against them, security took their side and decided to kick me out. When they went to remove me, one of the guys from the group threw something that hit me in the back, and when I went to swing on him security jumped all over me. Security at this theater was mostly girls, so I wasn’t gonna fight them. They had an off duty cop meet me at the gate to escort me out and he just kept telling me if I made “one false move” he was gonna have me locked up. But my friends had already fetched the car and were ready to get me so nothing happened. But, yeah. It was super fucking lame. I came in the next day and spoke with the manager. After I explained what happened, they apologized and gave me free passes for something else. But the experience turned me off of most confrontations with people in theaters.
his acting i do not know much about. The only thing iv ever seen him in is this show me and the girl watch from comedy central. I dont even know what its called, but its funny. He plays a dentist. Its ight.
His scenes in Spiderman were some of my favorites in the movie. Having him and Martin Starr as support cast was a stroke of genius. I hope they feature more in future films
I'm not saying he was bad but a couple of times it felt like they didn't know what joke to go with so they fed him a random line lol overall though his performance, and the movie, were an enjoyable fun ride.
I just saw it tonight. I only remember damn being used as in "(something) be damned" once, and hell used maybe once? Saying oh god or oh my god has never been a big deal lol.
