There's a girl who is apparently trying to complain to the director from IT. Because they were not made aware that physical abuse/rape is implied in the story. Despite the fact that its an R rated horror film, that is based of a novel written by a man with a stupidly popular reputation of incorating disturbing elements into his work, and the story has been available for people to look into for decades. The abuse is also implied, not shown. The entire point of the film is to make the characters uncomfortable and horrified.

I found a Youtube compilation of interviews with Mark Hamill. He hated Episode 7 and hates the Episode 8 script (as far as Luke's story is concerned so far). And hes pretty vocal about it
