Buddies want to go see the new Bourne movie Friday. I've never seen any of them so I'm watching them all this week to prep. Just finished The Bourne Identity and it was pretty damn good.
I heard the three Damon ones are dope and so far the first one was. Was told to skip the one with Hawkeye in it. Damon is back for the new one but I've heard mixed things so far.
SS was fine. Yeah it was character-driven and a cluster fuck at times because of it. But the movie was pretty fucking fun. It was the complete opposite of what DC usually brings to the table. It was really funny and action-packed throughout. There weren't really any down points in the film. I had my doubts going in, but the cast delivered. I'll say Will Smith was probably the strongest in the movie. He absolutely nailed Deadshot. Leto definitely left you wanting more of The Joker. He put a very interesting but also familiar (if you were a fan of the Animated series) twist to the character. It was just really fun, solid movie. Definitely a step in the right direction for DC.
The standard that Pixar has set is just unfair. Almost no animated movies are able to hold up to them. Secret Life of Pets is just another example. I wanted to love it but something just wasn't there. It was cute as hell and had a ton if funny parts. I like it and I'd had happily see it again but it didn't blow me away by any means like Pixar does consistently. So glad I took my niece out to celebrate her birthday late today because she also really wants to see Nine Lives but it isnt out yet. That movie looks so horrible, I can't believe the star power behind it. Like I literally can't. It doesn't seem real.
Suicide Squad was dope!!! Margot needs to play Harley forever cause she fucking nailed that character so good. Loved Will Smith as Deadshot and would love for him to get his own movie after watching him. It was a fun move and hopefully the right direction for DC.
Leto was great as the Joker but I need to see more of him because it was nothing but dick teasing through the whole movie.
You fucks are gonna kill the genre. If people just keep complaining about comic movies, they'll stop making them. You'll never get your perfect version of Harley. It won't happen. Try being happy that they're making comic movies with $100 mil budgets, star actors and capable directors

Rotten Tomatoes loved Ghostbusters. IMDB hated it.
