Most of those will never see the light of day. Some of them should be remade because they're based off of books that the originals didn't do justice. A couple of them are listed twice. Some of them (Beauty and the Beast, The Mummy) can barely even be considered reboots or remakes because they've been made repeatedly. One in particular I thought was kinda misleading was the new XXX movie because its not a remake or reboot, but a sequel. And who gives a fuck anyways because the original movies were hot garbage. The ones that bothered me were stuff like Suspiria and Videodrome because those movies are works of auteurs. Remaking movies like that would miss the point. Personally, I wouldn't want to be a filmmaker assigned to try and improve on something unique like that. Others have remade Hitchcock before and failed miserably, so it's usually career suicide. Big Trouble in Little China is blasphemy, but they've already remade Halloween so I guess who cares now. The one that really stuck out to me was Cabin Fever because the original isn't really that old and benefitted mostly from being indie. I hated the original though so fuck it. My favorite movie on that list is Jacob's Ladder. I doubt I would go see a remake of that because the original is perfect
I've watched Bates through all 4 seasons and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The next season is going to be the last one and include at least one character from the movie.
Lol @ the Great Wall. What even is Matt Damon doing in China during the construction of the Great Wall? Like even those racist people that argue about white washing not being real can't deny how nonsensical that is. At least they didn't give him yellow face haha
