i dont believe in praying and im christian, im wierd. prayer day sounds pretty dumb to me. technically if your christian u should pray everyday so in the end its just anyother made up thing that serves no real purpose not to mention i think is unconstitutional.
Shane, my point is exatly that. They are all just theory and not actual proven fact, like most people like to make them seem. Nobody knows even a fraction about where we came from or how we got here. Whether a god put us here or we came from the very first atom known to the universe, we will more than likely never know. But like I said before, if people want to believe that a higher being put us here, then it's great that they actually believe in something. I'm not trying to be confrontational or rude, but to call someone foolish for having faith, is foolish, because you don't know whether or not a god actually exists. Though it is very interesting and fascinating, I say life is too short to sit around and ponder over how we all got here. You're here and living. Enjoy your life and make the best of what you have.
I just dont want to be associated with evangelical athiest. People say that they want religious tolerance for athiest. Well when all people know are the "AHAHA FUCK YOU THERE IS NO GOD. GET OVER IT" athiest, its kind of hard.
religious tolerance is good on paper, but then again so was Communism. its an ideal that people like to talk about then only practice it when it serves their purpose

I read it when I had no clue where I was in the wonderful world of religion. So yeah it changed me quite a bit. Plus I'm still reading a lot of the books I found in the recommedation part.

For a long time, I've been fascinated with religion. I was raised in a Catholic family, grew up in a protestant neighborhood. It didn't work for me, so I decided to branch out. I read the Bible, Qu'ran, parts of the Talmud and a bunch of books looking for answers. I'd thought I found it for a while in Buddhism, but then I read that book. It blew my mind so much on the first read.
