If the Universe came from nothing, that means it literally came from nothing. So how can that be? There had to be something there to start it all off, but the question is, what was it and where did it come from? If there was nothing to start with, then there would be nothing now. Matter can't be created nor destroyed. So if there were a previous Universe that imploded on itself, the question is still..where did that come from? Keep in mind, the Big Bang is just a theory, it isn't proven like some people make it seem. It's almost impossible to explain all of these questions and I'm pretty sure the human race will never know the true answers as to how this crazyness that is our universe began. But if believing in a higher being is what makes you feel like you have a true purpose here on earth, then that's great. Some people find comfort in thinking that after you die, it isn't over. It's just the beginning. That's my take on all of it.
^Another good point... just about everything having to do with Astronomy are simply THEORIES. Black holes, the big bang, WHITE holes (this one is recent), even relativity is still a theory.
Scientists in the Astronomy field usually just serve one purpose... to Disprove; either their colleagues or previously proposed theories.
What 1disturbebmotherfucker said is what i was trying to get at. Im just stating that when u mention god to atheists they chuckle like your an idiot, but they know no more than you do and cant explain it at all either, so in that case everyone is tied. them chuckling like they know your an idiot just proves their idiocracy. Like i said earlier believing in god is having faith since we dont really have any proof. and i think the whole big bang theory started everything is as useless as an arguement as adam and eve, they both make no sense as described from a couple posts above. matter had to come from somewhere, so matter appearing out of thin air and god appearing out of thin air are equally believable.

Hopeful to find another planet or two with things to haunt for a bit
