Good luck to him. He's prolly got a better shot at reaching the majors with a club that doesn't have a lot of pitching depth. It seems like the Braves have a lot of good young pitchers.
Yeah. That's pretty much what everything I've read says. He was only the 18-22 best prospect we had depending on who you asked. They traded him for what was the Mariners top prospect going into last season and a former 6th overall pick from 2014, so the Mariners obv think a lot of him
I'm not sure how well he stacks up to other pitching prospects but he could throw 90 in high school and I'm sure his velocity has only increased over the years. I'm pretty confident he'll make the majors one day even as a middle reliever or something.
We don't know if the Rangers wanted him back or not, and the price for Encarnacion was apparently too much. Beltran wants a ring and thinks the Astros have a shot, clearly.
Still Rich Hill is pretty old and they're prolly already well over the luxury tax. I'm low key gonna be pretty heated if Cashman goes after a big-name free agent this offseason. We got good young talent and we even have enough prospects to spare for a decent trade, and then he can sign big checks next offseason when CC and Arod's contracts are over. The Yankees did pretty well the past two seasons despite all the retarded commentators on ESPN and MLB.TV saying they were gonna finish in the bottom of the division. We can wait one more year for some contracts to come off the books and some prospects to develop before Cashman signs some big names.
It's a weird situation. Technically they aren't out of money but they will be put into a weird debt with the commissioner for exceeding the billion mark within a short amount of time or something. They have until next year to fix it I believe but they can't really spend a lot on players within that time and may have to cut back or trade away some of the players they owe a bunch of money too.
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
