It seems unfair for these big spending teams to have lush farm systems the way the Cubs, Dodgers, Nationals, Red Sox and Yankees do. Not only do they get to buy up the useful free agents, but they have the capital to trade for the stars they can't just buy. I hate living in a mid-market city
Eaton was a Tiger killer. See what I said earlier: by the time the White Sox get good again, our window will be closed. All we have to worry about is Cleveland now. Get a catcher and center fielder and go for it.
I'm not super happy about it but it kinda makes sense. We were in the playoff mix the whole time we had Chapman, Miller and Betances last season. I just wish it wasn't Chapman cuz I knew he'd be the most expensive by far. He should have went out and got some starter's first, especially after releasing Eovaldi.
$20 says we get Jansen too. I feel like Cashman is trying to build up the bullpen again and let the younger guys take care of the offense now that Tex and Arod are gone. We really need at least one more starter doe, if not 2.

Cubs are trying to get Wade Davis, who's no Chapman but is probably just as effective for a lot less.
The Sox got Lucas Giolito from the Nationals. In the last 2 days, they've acquired the #1 and 3 prospects in baseball and 5 of the top 100
Fuck ))))
Also, Yankees just signed Chapman for 5 years, $86 million. Insanity. The day after Cashman compared the Red Sox to the Golden State Warriors.
