i'm a little disappointed in the hof addition. larkin was good, but he stayed hurt about 1/3 of the time. there were 5-7 dudes on the ballot that deserved it just as much
larkin made it to 600 plate appearances just 6 times in 19 seasons. his '95 mvp was *very* controversial (dante bichette almost won the triple crown that year). larkin's 162 game average for his career consisted of just 15 home runs, a .298 average and 28 steals, so even if you had him out there every day he was good, not great. he never led the league in anything and to my knowledge, he owns no significant records or milestones.
i'm not arguing that he shouldn't get in the hall. i'm just saying there were better players on the same ballot that didn't get in

it's towards the bottom of the page. nothing special
less then .300 average
less then 200 HR
less then 1000 rbi's
less then 2500 hits
he was a very solid and important player to that organization...but HOF worthy...eh
