I been doing Amazon delivery which now has to switch to part time for barber school but like I said I have a decent ass savings accumulated so I’m not living paycheck to paycheck. The drums in particular tho I won’t lie I dipped into the life insurance policy for it. I’ve done nothing but responsible spending wit it, taking care of the car, tuition, invested in stocks, etc. all moves to further grow it, so I treated myself wit a little of it cause I been wanting a drumset again for a long long time now. My studio is pretty much 100% complete and filled now and there’s no need for any further purchases unless something needs repair or replacement, so that in itself is a big bill that jus got knocked off for me.
But also on top of that I always try to make as much passive money as possible at all times. My savings is sitting in a 5% APY account so that’s always growing, I make every single purchase on credit cards and immediately pay em off and that has accumulated to thousands back in rewards so that’s all money that I made for spending it, and I’ve also gotten in a pretty good DraftKings rhythm and have over $1K accumulated on my bankroll. If I would have had more balls and placed bigger bets on some of those I easily could have been at $10K-$20K on there but the focus has been slow and steady so I don’t lose my shit about losses.
Drums came and I finally got em set up and played for like 2 hours yesterday. Woke up sore as fuck today like I did a full body workout. It’s crazy how rusty those muscles get when you don’t use em but I look forward to building that stamina back up. That felt so good to be back at it. I was also satisfied at what I was still able to play and pull off even after being away so long. The main thing is that endurance is definitely gone and I cramped/locked up a few times, but that disappears easy wit time and repetition so I ain’t worried about it.
I’m really excited to track some shit cause electric is brand new to me and they’re setup right in the studio so I can plug directly in the interface and track whenever I want. Wanna fuck around wit EZDrummer and see the sounds I can get.
Not really a recent purchase per se, jus a culmination of purchases cause my studio finally in final form pretty much, but this is the best thread for it. Gonna have to get a panoramic including the drumset and guitar once everything is fully tidied up and ready but fuck I’m in love.

I might be selling my gear soon if you're in the market for some stuff
What kind, mostly guitar stuff I’m assuming? Might be interested in some pedals. 🤔
I need to decide entirely what I want to sell, and if I want to keep any of it. I have someone buying my mandolin on Friday, and one of my friends claimed my Razorback, but I'll potentially have: Two more electric guitars and two acoustic guitars, three midi keyboards, a Spider 3 amp, a Helix amp sim pedal, two Focusrite interfaces, Yamaha studio monitors, a small PA, Phonic live monitors, guitar stands, various cables, and some mics.
Ordered some Govee Pro permanent outdoor Christmas lights. They are pricey as shit, but they are on Black Friday sale right now. Still pricey, but it’s as cheap as they are going to get so today we BOCO.
Govee is GOAT tho. I don’t have their outdoor shit but my entire room and studio is done up in their shit, prolly gonna end up doing the whole house. That one touch control hub for the whole house all in the same app is fucking prime. 🤌🏻
I have wiz lightbulbs and I was old man yells at cloud and didn’t want them so my roommate had the app. When he left I forgot to get the password from him so I just use the light switches again lol
Just got the Backbone One 2nd Gen on sale as a placeholder for gaming during my work day until I finally nut up and get a proper handheld. Based on my research and laziness I'm going to be going the Steam Deck OLED route.
Govee lights are up on the house. It was a full day of work, but I won’t have to do it again for a long time. I bought a 18’ multi-folding ladder from Home Depot on Black Friday and it made the job easier than expected. I also had to 3D print 100 light mounts because it was too cold to use the supplied stick on pads, and I wouldn’t trust those to hold up over time anyways.

Got mine up the other day. Just a humble display, but my first year hanging them
