Serious question for those of you who don't believe in the vaccine or masks... what exactly is the plan here? How should we be going about taking care of this pandemic? Because people are still getting severely sick. People are still dying. I see a lot of butthurt and crying, but no alternative solutions offered.

I asked this on Twitter and got a bunch of Covid deniers basically saying a mix of "eat your veggies and take your vitamins", and "let people die it's nature's course".
Great plans.
We're never going back to "normal". This is going to be around for ever. Fucking retards.
God damn rogan still has some good episodes but every time he talks about covid i want to blow my brains out.
Dude is a legit meathead.
he cited a scientific article last week and then claimed that covid could actually mutate and spread faster because of the vaccine.
Completely inaccurate information. The study was done on chickens, didn’t relate to coronaviruses, and he only took info from the abstract.
Virologist and epidemiologist actually say the exact opposite. The virus mutates when it spreads, so slowing the spread with vaccines actually decreases the likelihood it mutates.
He also claimed scientists said the vaccine was 100% effective when it came out, and they never said that. They were hoping somewhere in the 50’s as far as percentage it protects you. They ended up with 95% with a median percentage somewhere in the 70’s.
People need to realize he has an agenda. His whole “no onestalking about health and vitamins” ….he owns a vitamin and supplement company
yeah, people do need to lose weight, but thats a long term issue. Vaccines are to help right now.
Yeah man it's a little less complex when one person wants to push a product compared to literally the entire god damn world. Like how would the logistics of a conspiracy like that even work? Just insane.
So with Delta freaking people out, I still gotta say that I'm not going to change any of my habits going forward. Still looks to me that hospitalized people are mostly all unvaccinated, and most 'breakthrough' infections are fairly mild. I wish the media wouldn't focus so much on the total number of infected as the benchmark for whether the problem is getting worse. IDC if I catch it, I just don't want it to be bad. Sounds more like a problem for the unvaxxed.
We have free reign in NZ to do anything and go anywhere and to have sports events and shows etc. The only time we wear a mask is public transport and planes. Aside from that its very unusual to see anyone with a mask. But that could of course change in the blink of an eye if (when) we get any new cases The only cases we have (approx 35 at present) are incoming travellers from overseas who go straight to quarantine. We haven't had a community case in maybe 3-4 months. Australia is having a blow out though and things are turning to shit there. The only large international act scheduled to play in NZ is GNR in November and I can see that being cancelled soon due to Australia (GNR wont come to do an NZ/Oz tour if Oz is fucked)
I can schedule to have my name put on the list for a vaccine as my age group can now enrol for it. I'm not in any rush but having said that I'm not avoiding it either...just havent got around to it

The vaccine should be mandatory for every with exception of health issues though.

For ONCE I'm glad I live in the US for something health related.
could you imagine if that happened here? People would lose their shit.
