Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Doctor Strange alot I just didn't think it did a whole bunch of new shit. I thought the good bad guy aspect of Ant-Man was cool. He's a criminal and I've always kinda dug stories like that. You're going to tell me that, while I agree the main villain was kind of stock, the fight where they were shrinking and shit fighting in the briefcase and in his daughter's room weren't freaking awesome? That was unique imo and the heist aspect at the end. Usually we get a hero mowing down hordes of faceless enemies. Plus, almost every joke landed whereas they feel so forced in alot of Marvel flicks.
By new shit, I can only assume that portals to travel, multiple realities, pocket dimensions, artifacts of power, and time bending with the damn time stone weren't enough? Adding actual magic and sorcery, and every implication that goes along with it to the universe wasn't enough? Regular people learning fucking spells. No biggie. All small things.

Idk to be fair I need to re-watch Doctor Strange. I was dragged outta bed at 9am to watch it when it was originally supposed to be noon. I had diarrhea during what I was told is the best part (when he was training) and fell asleep shortly before the dormamu stuff. I tend to not feel great on movies when I'm not zoned in. I hated Big Lebowski the first couple of times I saw it because I was sleepy both times. I receded my argument when I realized I don't remember half the shit Jobe mentioned ) I'll peep it on Netflix
I just dont think it looks like a Venom movie. Cat scans and psychokenesis style throwing things around doesnt scream Venom to me. Nothing about what has been shown of Eddie Brock screans Eddie Brock to me.
