Worst case scenario, not a bad trade for some real X-Men and other Mutants in the MCU. Real Wolverine and DP, or DP and Spidey... so many team ups now possible. Besides, Deadpool made trucks full of cash with the R rated formula that made it so popular in the first place, they may keep it as it is.
Wolverine worked as PG-13 though. Sure, Logan was amazing. But Wolverine was awesome in all the X-Men movies. Origins and The Wolverine sucked donkey dick but that was more story and directing faults than character faults. Deadpool just wouldn't work if he was not rated R. And lol at just some f bombs and ass cheeks. Alot of the dialogue would be censored.
And let's face it, they would go out of their way to push it as far as they could. I'm not pushing for a pg 13 rated Deadpool, but if that's the worst thing to happen from the deal it's not a deal breaker for me. It's a potential 1% downside to 99% positive upside, and there is nobody saying they are going to change it anyway.
I would sacrifice rated r deadpool in exchange for classic x-men done right, fantastic four done right, galactus or kang the conqueror as the next avengers villains, silver surfer in the cosmic movies interacting with thor and guardians of the galaxy, etc
