No Doubt doesnt have a drop of punk in them. They're a pop band with dashes of 2nd wave ska and new wave. They never really even toured with punk bands
The guys in Sum 41 actually like metal. They played a Metallica medley when Metallica got on the Hall of Fame. Their Half-Hour of Power album has a couple Maiden-esque tracks. Their lead guitar dude left for a while to start a NWOBHM style band. And their song The Bitter End is basically a Battery rip off.

Killer show. Hollow Earth is a Detroit local who would fit right in opening for Pallbearer and the like. I'd never heard Helms Alee before but they were so bizarre and awesome. Mutoid Man knocked it out of the park per usual, they do a great cover of Purple Rain.
