As for Chvrches, I listened to then a bit when I saw them on the lineup at roo a couple years ago but honestly haven't listened to them since. I only really remember The Mother We Share
yeah when I was in high school. one of my friends is into IDM. I have Selected Ambient Works 85-92. I should probably give it another shot
His ambient stuff is sorta boring. Get the Richard D. James album, the Come to Daddy EP, Girl-Boy EP and Windowlicker single. All are A++ stuff. Really unique, even 15 years later
AOTYSF is the new Nothing album, Tired of Tomorrow. Highly recommended for people who like 90's rock whether it's shoegaze or grunge. it's all here and it's amazing
