Did anybody really expect it to be good? I'm watching it right now and the jokes suck, they have terrible set ups and the acting is meh and the laugh track is annoying. But that's exactly what Full House was. The show fucking sucked but I watched it so much as a kid I'm riding on pure nostalgia likes it's meant to be watched. No way anybody that didn't watch at least any 90s sitcom watches the show and thinks it's okay.
Yeah expectations are to high. "You'll only like it if you liked Full House its not a sitcom you can just watch" is the general consensus. Like no fucking shit lol I'm digging it for the nostalgia alone. Its cheesy as all fuck still, that hasn't changed but I watched Full House alot as a wee lad.
Theres no reason for this show to exist beyond a short first season though. Everything pretty much gets burned through in the first episode, all the catchphrases and stuff like that. I feel like if I make it to the final episode, I'll have no interest in season 2. Ll
Ya know it's not so bad .I finished ep 2 and watched the next couple because I felt like I was rushing my opinion of it. I'm not going to lie and say I didn't have a cheesy ass smile on my face half the time. It's an unnecessary reboot and some of the jokes are lame but the old cast still plays really well and the new characters aside from Kimmy's daughter aren't annoying. And fucking Fuck that Macy Gray ep. She was hilarious and Bure and Sweetin were so goddamn sexy. As a fan of the original I love it but I could see why some people can't dig it and say it has nothing new to offer. The plot and most episodic plots are pure cover songs. I feel like it should just be the one season but something tells me it a going to overstay it's welcome.
It did end up growing on me and I made it to episode 6. I like the show more than I thought I would but the catchphrase "Holy chalupa" needs to die in a fire.
