Vice is dumb. I can't disagree that a lot of these albums were probably mediocre, but I have no idea what half of these reviews were saying. Most of what they write about music is just irrelevant bullcrap to try and sound sophisticated and like they know tons about music. Also, No Love Deep Web came out in 2012. It was one of the biggest buzzes in 2012 and was everywhere. How'd they fuck up that hard. Fuck Vice.
Im not just an artist though. Im getting a degree for the business side. Someday I'll be working for a record company. How can I say I want to make money in an industry, and attribute to the wellbeing and prosperity of the business, and then steal from it?
As soon as you start thinking of music as a business you mine as well just hang it up right then and there
You have to be fucking kidding me. The utterly stupid shit you say literally makes me sick. Music is the very fucking definition of a business you jackass.

You do realize I'm going to school for MUSIC BUSINESS yes? There is an entire school dedicated to educating the business of the music industry. I hate to say it, but the entertainment industry is a business. Do you really think it would be as big, as influential, and as impactful if it wasn't for money?
I understand that the artistic aspect of it should be primarily important, not the money. I fully think that way as well. I have put my music out for free. But in order for something like this to become a profession, and not just a hobby, you need to make money doing it. And that includes the necessity of having your intellectual property protected through copyright, trademark, patent, etc laws.
But how many people would really create knowing their rights aren't protected? Intellectual property is a real thing Nola. There are entire sections of laws dedicated to upholding them. Its not just about money, its about protecting what is creatively yours. You can't put a lock on creative ideas, so we have these laws in place to protect what is yours.
I don't even like The Beatles, but do you really think that The Beatles would have done what they have done if it wasn't for the fact they could make money doing it, or that their music was protected from others stealing, and re-manufacturing it?
What the fuck are you talking about you fucking clown? Your huff ass Metal bands are all in a business just like Rappers are, just on a smaller scale.
If you are signed to any type of major label, including the leading Metal labels such as Metal Blade, you are involved in a business, plain and simple. Jesus Christ you have to be fucking brain dead.
I know you would rather sit in your room smoking dope, hating the system, police, and their laws. But laws protect people, and without that protection we'd have a lot less push for productivity.
