Well, I'm just gonna type a little bit of back story here, if you guys don't mind the read.
See, hallucinogens have always been a subject of curiosity for me. Acid doesn't really interest me at all (which is weird, I know), but mushrooms (and DMT) have always been something I've wanted to try. I decided a long time ago that if I was gonna do any hallucinogens, I would do shrooms, because they're organic, and they don't stay in your spine like acid does. Plus, the "spiritual awakening" aspect has always been a subject of curiosity as well.
A couple weekends ago, my buddy and I ended up at Wheatland Festival, which is a bluegrass festival out by where I live that's been around for years. Basically, it's like Woodstock, only in Mid-Michigan. We were planning on meeting up with a bunch of our friends to go adventuring. I've also always been curious about Wheatland ever since I was told about it in my freshmen year. This guy I was friends with (a junior at the time) told me about the festival, and that he didn't watch any of the bands. I asked him why, and he said, quite plainly, "You don't go to Wheatland for the music. You go there to open your third eye."
I had already decided I was gonna do shrooms if the chance came up, which I knew it would. Saturday night, we found a shroom chocolate dealer. I was already baked off my ass, because I had smoked weed almost the entire time I was there. So, I was already pretty relaxed as it was, and I felt comfortable consuming the treat (which was some of THE best chocolate I've ever had in my life), and I was with people I trusted, and I knew I wouldn't get caught. So, I knew I was in for a good time.
I knew it would take a while for them to kick in, and this was REALLY late at night, so we just went adventuring around the area. There was probably about a gram and a half in the chocolate, and then I ate a straight shroom a little while later because our friend popped out of nowhere with a fresh bag. I normally hate mushrooms, but the one I ate straight tasted pretty damn good.
Didn't trip my balls off too badly at all. I handled myself extremely well. Everything seemed brighter, the colors were more vibrant, and everything seemed 100 times more interesting. I looked at my roommate, who had taken as much as I had, and we couldn't stop laughing and grinning at each other. We were feeling great. I was just enjoying the whole experience, because everything felt great. We ended up at some random campsite (don't remember how) with an awning over it, and we sat and stared for ten minutes trying to figure out if the awning was an awning or the sky. The last thing I really remember is watching my friends start to morph into cartoon characters, but it wasn't bad, because they morphed right back as soon as I realized what was happening. I don't remember much else except walking into my friends tent and crashing, since I was drunk and very stoned to begin with. When I woke up the next day, it took me a few minutes to figure out how I had gotten there.
Overall, I very much enjoyed the experience. I didn't have any epiphanies or realizations, but I can't wait to do them again. I really enjoyed it. It is definitely something I would do again, but within reason and moderation, of course. So probably not for a while.

Well, I'm not the one who rolled it. My buddy came over and he already had it rolled up. I would have preferred a straight joint, but he likes spliffs, so whatever.
Joint = All weed Spliff = Tobacco and Weed. Half and Half.
Unless I have my terminology mixed up? I always thought that's what it was. And that's what he said. He rolled it with flavored tobacco and called it a spliff.
Comments
Coulda been summarized as easily as "Me and my niggas took some shrooms, didn't trip that hard, but it was a nice experience.".
