1. Integration with apple ecosystem. I have a lot of apps and other apple products that they all hook into. For example - I have a couple appleTV's that I can use the Iphone5 to control them. If I have a video/music on my iphone with a swipe of the finger I can instantly send it to my TV and have it playback on that.
2. Touch screen - In my opinion Apple has the most responsive touch screen in the industry. Much better then my Droid. And this is very important for a phone that only has a touch screen for controlling it.
3. LTE smartphone - I realize this isnt unique to Apple, but it is a reason why I value this product at the 300 I paid.
4. 32GB - Seemed like a sweet spot for content. I could have saved 100 dollars and got the 16GB version but I valued the extra 16GB for 100 dollars. It's not worth it on a price/MB chart, but it's the tax I have to pay to have the iphone.
5. Social media integration - Again not unique to apple but a reason I value the product at that.
When I went to AT&T they told me it isn't protected unless I bought a $60 plan through Apple. Because if it'd start screwing up or break, they couldn't do anything about it. At that time it didn't get protected just because you bought the phone

I don't know this for sure but I'm almost positive IPhone's have always come with a 1 year warrenty. So you can take some of that hate for apple and put it towards AT&T for making you buy that plan.
Death is not the worst of evils.
You can't be down, when you're always high.
I didnt break a phone ever until that one. And it the screen just crapped out on it. I havent broke an iPod either. Idk how people go through those so quickly

I think that's about it.
I don't buy insurance or plans for my phones. I take care of them.
You can throw your phone across a room and it would be fine.
Right now I have an incipio case that's nice and thin on my 4s.
