Just longer.. they'll make it wider for the iPhone 5s. However their are quite a few hardware upgrades and a longer lasting battery. Not too mention LTE support.

When I had my iPhone the battery life was awesome. But after a few months that started to change, then the battery started to suck ass. The phone they replaced that with had the same length of battery time as the one I got rid of
The 3G really wasn't very good. I just had little to no problems with mine. However the 4 and 4s have both been awesome. I can understand your hatred though I still have a hatred for Xbox from the shit system they sold me
