Shadows Fall has been around awhile doe. They were on the mainstage for Ozzfest 2005.

I think 2 or 3 of their songs are really cool, but the album as a whole is just ok. Their videos rule doe, especially Wires.

Yeah I didnt like them then either, I saw Shadows Fall the first time in 2003 on a tour with LoG, Killswitch, and Unearth... those 3 bands blew Shadows Fall out of the water.
