Wasn't that back when their live vocals were still atrocious?
Not at that show. Everything was perfect. It was later in the tour cycle the vocals took a turn south.
And if Ape was referring to my post, I went to a total of like 5 shows before 2009, and go to about 15-20 shows a year since then, so it'd make sense most of my favorite shows are pretty recent.
1. The Black Dahlia Murder(2011) 2. Iron Maiden(2012) 3. Gojira(2013) 4. Heaven And Hell(2008) 5. Slayer(2011)
I could've went with a few different bands in the last slot but I chose Slayer just because of how on top of their game they were when I saw them that night.
1. Iron Maiden (2010) 2. Killswitch Engage (2012) 3. Black Sabbath (2001) 4. System Of A Down (2011) 5. Behemoth (2007) 6. DRI (2010) 7. Lamb Of God (2004) 8. Between The Buried And Me (2011) 9. Cephalic Carnage (2011) 10. Cattle Decapitation (2012)
I know I'm missing some but eh. Another one that I'm proud of is Havok's first show ever (technically second, their first was their high school talent show) although they weren't that good.

3. Vektor (September 2012)
4. Sleep (2010)
5. Death To All (2012)
Other really close contenders are Agalloch, Metallica, Pallbearer, Between the Buried and Me, and Cormorant.
