I think I'm the only nigga who has made an effort to check out Scorpion Child...
To be honest I dont really like them. I think they cross the line of tribute/inspiration into cheese like a lot of bands do (White Wizzard, Holy Grail, etc)
I mean, they're definitely not the most revolutionary thing out there, but as far as throw back goes I think they do it pretty well. Plus they jam pretty hard live. They were my fave side stage band. Battlecross was definitely the most Mayhem Fest appropriate band though. They're probably the best band as far as "modern" metal goes.

i saw them at the Mansfield date. Liked them enough to buy their CD and hang with them after their set. Missed MFH's first 2 songs because of hanging with them
mayhem fest kicked ass as usual. saw some Hells Angels there. for some strange reason i felt the incredible need to talk to them. i wanted to ask them if they like the show Sons of Anarchy ) but i decided not to talk to them. i regret it now lol i saw a girl wearing those 'Asstodon' shorts. naturally i proceeded to stare at her ass
