the students and athletes are innocent though. what happened has nothing to do with their sports teams so why should those student athletes suffer too?

It has everything to do with the football program...the university shouldn't be allowed to keep making money off the football program....those football players can go play somewhere else...it would only be a small victory for victims if the university isn't allowed to profit off of a program that ruined there lives
well he raped kids repeatedly on school ground while the leaders of the football program knew about it...and covered it up because they were afraid of losing there public image
He didn't just touch them innapropritely....he fucked them in the ass....forcefully gave them oral sex and many other things...was caught and it was all covered up
take an example SMU's football program which is the only program ever given the death penalty in Ncaa football...they were on probation for recruiting violations and it was discovered they were still paying there players and they received a two year ban
These events of rape and child molestation were covered up by the university's president, the Senior Vice President of Finance and Business, The Athletic Director and the university's head football coach. Events that could have been stopped right then and there. Innocent lives could have been saved, instead he was continued to be granted unlimited access to use the football facilities and "warned" to not bring children there any more. Instead more children were raped and that falls on the university. There ignorance of what was important should pay a hefty price and in my eyes that should be never being allowed to play football ever again

It's a failure of the program as a whole, and they probably should get the death penalty for it. It's not the kids that are being punished, it's a school that would have absolutely nothing special about it without its football program and history.

even after all this i doubt JoePa's Legendary status will be all that tarnished in the minds of fellow Pennsylvanians, most of whom grew up watching him lead PennState.
rex, even though some people from the football program knew about what happened and covered it up it actually had nothing to do with sports like in the case of SMU. SMU broke rules to benefit their sports program. even though some of the people involved with football covered this up, it actually had nothing to do with football itself. you know what im tryin' to say?

I have been a Penn State fan all of my life and have always thought JoePa was one of the coolest figures in sports. That being said, if given an opportunity to piss on his grave, I would do that, and also make sure and take a steaming dump on it.
its sick how Joe Paterno iz critisized by all these people but no one said nothing when the Pope of the Catholic religion and his Biships covered up child abuse... Joe teh Devil but the Pope is God still
