I personally don't mind the orchestral side of the album, but it a weak album in general. I like Hey Bulldog, It's All Too Much, and Only A Northern Song. But this album was forced because producers wanted an album to correspond to the release of the film.

I like Buck Owens version, and I do like the Beatles' studio version, but after hearing Ringo sing it at Shea Stadium, I was disappointed. I do like his and Paul's harmony during the chorus though.

i lied then, i forgot only a northern song was on yellow submarine and i love that song...tho i very much prefer the Anthology version to the album version

Yeah alot of George's anthology songs are amazing. I think their worst album was Please Please Me.

If you want, but Yellow Submarine and All Together Now are boring songs at their core. If anything, Martin made Paul's boring songs less boring.
