it is dissapointed when a band is "labelled" as a metal band, i listen to them and just don't get it. thats why i usually look for certain labels, i.e. British metal, thrash metal, etc.....
It would be nice not to classify music into anything because then you could listen to anything you want. People today are all about listening to one genre they like, so when they hear songs outside of that genre that are good, they can't really listen to them because that person has already been classified as "insert genre here" So for concerts bands could have any type of music on there tour but then comes the issue of people that only want a certain type of music at their concerts. Like how could we have deathfests if we didn't clasify music? Right when you group together bands that sound alike for one concert, fest, etc. Then you start making a genre

Human nature dictates a necessity to cast everything into groups. Where people are from, what they eat, how they worship, their political structure. It's human nature.
