I been writing tonight for my mixtape, just finished this verse, really liked it and figured I'd share it.
I been up fo' a week. Nothin' mo' foreign than sleep. On the flo', crumpled up sheets. Ashes gathered up from the kief. Because I need an escape. When the days rotate. Yesterday and tomorrow have the same face. And they greatly relate wit the same damn traits. Tryna reach a peak from the same damn base. Basic daily basis, could I face it if I'm damned to a jaded fate? Chasin' a haven, stay safe up in a faded haze. It's a real shady race, and I'm feelin' like I'm losin' my faith. Complainin', lately, I've been laden, drainin', just to keep the pace. In the chase fo' a maiden who claimed that slavin' is gon' pay off. I'm afraid of wastin' patience, I don't ever take a day off.
(An alternate last two lines to that verse, I'm tryna decide whether to use these two, or the two in the original verse.)
In the chase fo' a maiden who proclaimed greatness draped in gold. I'm afraid of wastin' patience, so I slow it down and get throwed.
New track. Preview of my mixtape, as this is gonna be on it. First track I'm leaking from it. Remix of XO's Glass Table Girls. Bump and leave feedback.
Who would be that dense, falling for that nonsense, leaving feedback in the comments, and let another flame war commence, like Wookies on Endor, it does not make sense, go back to whence you came, and step off of my podium.
It's the same ol, same ol boring hip hop flows This is where the fuckin chorus goes
We've been down this road before, won't play this game no more, I know what's behind the door, don't need to rewind the score, its become a bore, butts get sore, just more of the same and I'm not even sodium.
Swiggity, swaggity, its so sad to see, a hip hop tragedy, fall deaf to a cavity of apathy like our lame little symposium
Cuz its still the same ol boring crap Been waiting like a year for a story rap.
I just mean leak as in I dropped it before the mixtape come out. I originally planned on releasing nothing from it until it dropped, but one song won't hurt.
This is also a new track, this was off my label's Volume 2 compilation mixtape, but I put this track on my personal SoundCloud. This was recorded at an actual studio. Remix of Tyga's Faded.
No. Well yea, but I'm not good enough at them yet, betting better little by little doe. Haven't made anything that I truly wanna rap over yet or make into a full song doe.

You're getting better. That song just seemed a little over-produced, but it could just be me.

Well, this was.......surprising, coming from you, but thanks. What do you mean by over produced?
i think it does you a disservice in your progression as a rapper to always use other people's beats. by doing that, you're automatically formatting your flow to fit what was already there. it can help build technique, but it's more of a challenge to do it your own way and make it sound right.
I know, and to be honest, I'm getting sick of doing so. But it's why I've been working daily and devoting at least an hour on FL or Reason tryna get better at beats. I wanna completely self produce my Sophomore mixtape.
