"average" hockey players can skate between 20 - 30 MPH... "the fastest" NFL players run between 7 - 13 MPH...
hockey players have less pads and a nice hard ice surface and board to get viciously pounded into, and they get hit 3-4 times a week. NFL players get hit once a week and have extra padding and a nice grass surface to fall upon.
NFL players are by no means pussies.. but hockey players take the harder hits...
Just because in NFL they try to headbut each other when they hit n cause concusions doesn't mean anything to me. In hockey the players get hit more often a week, get slammed into walls, get into fist fights, ect. Hockey wins
the pads the football players actually make the hitting more forceful...just cause hockey players can skate faster does not mean they are at full speed when hitting in fact you almost never see a guy lined up and hit at full speed...you see this every single game multiple times in football....
also your claim that hockey players play 3-4 times a week...yeah because they can...football you can't physically play more then once a week it is to hard on your body...there is a reason why the nfl has a career expectancy of a little more then 3 years
