Here's a goof Flyers/Bruins fight from back in the day. Richards vs Mara... I love how they both forcfully rip off their gloves and slam down their helmets with such confidence and authority! ... and the show of respect to one another when the fight was over. Great fight!
the damn police are looking into that hit now. Air Canada is threatening to pull their sponsorship and it was even mentioned in parliament yesterday when the minister of sport (didn't know that one existed) called on the NHL to act. i dont think any of these people realize how fast the game of hockey is and that freak accident can, will and do happen.
Apparently a lot of the players actually feel it was intentional as well. Not the intent to injure him, but the intent to hit him into the turn buckle.

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The NHL made the right call. This isn't Todd Bertuzzi driving a defenseless player head-first into the ice. This was a hit with no intent to injure that just occured on the wrong part of the ice. If that play happens on the other side of the ice, Chara gets a penalty and no one is hurt.

I completely agree with that. Apparently a lot of the players in the league do not, though. Apparently a lot of players feel he knew exactly where he was on the ice, and knew what he was doing. They don't think he actually tried to injure Pacioretty, but they believe he did try to aim Pacioretty's head into the turnbuckle.
