"I had a brief email with my best source today. This is the source who told me about who was playing on Mayhem last year- he told me all of the bands in advance and it all turned out to be true.
He tells me that SoaD is NOT headlining Mayhem. He also said that Megadeth is definitely out to as the Big 4 should be in the US during Mayhem Fest.
I asked him about Disturbed, Godsmack and Deftones. I got a as a reply.
I think it is very likely that Disturbed is headlining this year along with the Deftones. Its possible Godsmack is on board too. I don't think Deftones are popular enough to carry the 2nd headlining spot yet.
The info has been contradictory at times and trickling in very slowly but I will keep you posted on what I hear."
