What should I do?

Need some help deciding here.

I'm gonna have roughly $300 spending money by Christmas, and I'm not sure what to get.

It's between a new snake (Super Dwarf Retic for $200.).

OR:

Start on getting recording shit. Looking at prices, I can get Pro Tools, a USB Condenser Mic, and a 2 channel recording interface, for $250. Which I could record good quality Guitars and Vocals with. Drums will have to wait sadly. It's gonna cost so much to record/mic them up.

OR:

Work on triggering my kit. All I want to trigger is my Bass Drums and Snare, and I could get the triggers and a decent Drum module for roughly $250. I would also need a P.A. but at least I'd be 2/3rds of the way to triggering my kit.

I'd work on getting what you need for recording. I have a Line 6 toneport w/ POD Farm and Riff Works for my guitar. It's all USB. POD Farm has some pretty nice sounding simulated amps and riff works is pretty easy to use. Fairly cheap, only cost me about $90. But if you have more money, spend away. Get the best quality you can if you're serious about makin' good quality sound.

Yea, I'm not sure. I'm also trying to check prices. I gotta find a reasonable priced P.A. for micing and triggering the kit. I'm also gonna be plowing people's driveways once we get the snowplow repaired, so I figure on a heavy snow day, I could make a good $100 in one day on that shit, so I actually might have more then I'm expecting to have.

But they're not just pets at the same time. I wanna work with Snakes my entire life. Breeding them and whatnot. Same with Music. They're equal in my eyes. That's why this is so hard lol. It's a bit easier to refuse the Retic for now though since I already have 3 Snakes that I'm very happy with. I've been wanting recording shit, triggers, mics, modules, P.A.s, Etc., for years now.

If you can wait till college, you can take classes in recording and use the equipment for FREE, so I'd say if you refuse to save, then get the equipment to better your drums.
