Yeah but it seems like they're almost done. Mixing and mastering takes time but it shouldn't take too long. I think 3 months is plenty of time to add the solos (assuming they are already written, which I'm sure they are), bass, and vocals and then master it all.
I think it will be very hard but if the album is anything like Shattering the Skies Above, it will be a great album. It won't be better but it will be very good. Shogun is just such a full and dense album that it will be hard to beat out of the top spot. Shattering is great but it needs that sense of what's happening next, that shogun has. Shattering seems to follow more of s formulaic pattern to it which isn't bad, it's just different
I dig trivium, I would prefer them to to try and tone down the over the top song titles/references.....it comes off like they are trying to hard to be intelligent, and it looks like they just picked shit out of mythology books....which is what a lot of metal acts do, I admit....
