A pretty cool Death/Doom project from one of the dude's of The Red Chord. The album drops tomorrow, but they dropped a song today from it. I can dig it.
New York Black Metal crew Black Anvil have entered the studio with renowned producer J. Robbins (Clutch, The Sword, Coliseum) at Magpie Cage Studios, in Baltimore, MD to start work on the follow up to 2010's 'Triumvirate, which saw the band progress to darker and deeper territories. Set for a Spring 2014 release, the band commented on the new material:
"This record insists on demanding a broader scope than previous works in order to experience a personal voyage towards demise."
RED FANG will return this October with its third studio album titled "Whales And Leeches" on Relapse Records. For the new album, the Portland, Oregon-based group worked with producer Chris Funk (DECEMBERISTS) and mixer Vance Powell (THE WHITE STRIPES, RACONTEURS, KINGS OF LEON). This same team helmed RED FANG's last CD, "Murder The Mountains", which Alternative Press magazine hailed as "a near-masterpiece of tangled tar pit riffs and whisky-and-bong-hit vocals."
