Not to mention the fact that his 2016 cap hit is cheaper than the second round tender you speak of.

You're giving $5.6 million guaranteed this year to a guy who wasn't even the starter until the playoffs. All because Elway decided he wasn't worth an extra $900k.

CJ only had 50 less carries on the season than Hillman and that was due to injury.
