Hue Jackson is a good OC. RG3 has done all the right things since being benched. They also have some good players on defense. I could see them having a couple decent years of his knee holds up. By decent I mean 8 or 9 wins. Pronably not this year though. He needs someone to throw it to lol.
Why would the nfl move touch backs up to the 25 yard line? I could see for punts maybe but kickoff a is retarded. It's steady too easy for a touchback on kickoffs.
Thats the point. They dont want people returning the ball. If by some chance the kicker doesnt get an automatic touchback, the returner is now more likely to down the ball in the endzone because it'll be at the 25.
The NFL acknowledged that it could totally backfire and they have it set up for a one year test in case it fails. Jay Feely said he thinks some kickers would try to hang the ball up high around the goal line. I guess the 3 teams with the least amount of touchback finished in the top half of average opponent starting position. Idk I think like jake said most teams will just drill it through the end zone and if not the other team will just take a knee.
Extra points aren't the most dangerous plays in football like kickoffs are. I think at first some teams will try to hang it up short and high and force teams to return it but the ball is put at the 25 in college so it probably won't be a big change. I do agree that eventually kickoffs will be eliminated though.
