Jesus fucking Christ Leah you are a dumbass. ADTR is very Pop Punk. You agree with Popcore, so you just contradicted yourself in every way, and your opinion on this is worthless.
Pop Punk + Hardcore = Popcore.
They're extremely like Blink 182, and a lot of songs off of WSMFY blatantly screamed Blink 182 to me.
Oh just STFU already. They're Pop Punk, they're Hardcore, they're Popcore.
/Discussion.
the pop in popcore could also mean pop rock. just sayin.... to me they fuse pop rock choruses and hardcore breakdowns. no punk involved and maybe a couple metal riffs but not enough to consider them metalcore.

They're weird. When a band is like this I usually just classify them as their band name and leave it. But when people say they sound like Blink 182..I gotta step in.
ADTR doesn't sound a thing like them. Maybe the drumming on slight occasion. But that is as close as it gets. And technically, they aren't scene. It's just perceived that was since most of their fans are scene fucks because...well...idk really.
I classify them as a generic scene band whose popularity is blown way out of proportion.

If their music sounds like a blatant copy of another band, I don't think the album deserves a 9 out of 10.
Lol generic and Scene. You have a lot to learn on this shit. Generic is NOT defined as the first band to try something. I know not one band that sounds like them except Four Year Strong.

What the fuck? You said that their music sounds blatantly like Blink 182. They have made their own sound before. Copying something that's already been done = generic.
"Generic is NOT defined as the first band to try something."
What the fucking fuck were you trying to say there?
TUPAC IS DEAD/THE LEGEND IS GONE/THEY SAYIN TUPAC'S BACK?/DEM NIGGAS WRONG
They were the first to try and mix Pop Punk and Hardcore. It was a ballsy move.
Just like I'd never call AA! generic for being the first to mix Metalcore and Techno/Dubstep/Trance. It was a ballsy move as well, and ended up catching on, and starting bands like Asking Alexandria, and Abandon All Ships.
AA! Blows ass though. I like the first like 20 seconds of one song, can't remember which one. Then it gets horrible and gay. And I'm failing to see the punk quality in ADTR.
Erik, I said that they would be considered generic if you think that they sound just like Blink 182 at times. I'm well aware of the definition of the word.
You told me that they being the first to do something else is not generic. Two different things here.

And eh whatever Leah, I like them. Even if I didn't, I wouldn't call them generic.
