it actually looks like the insides could be intact......also nick...make sure you don't just need to clean the lens rather than replace it....i thought i needed to replace mine cause of everything i have read online..but turns out it just needed a cleaning

How did yo go about cleaning it? cause im not really looking forward to popping open the PS3, and opening the disc drive and everything...
Plus when my brother had it, him and his wife were watching a movie and it randomly stopped working in the middle of the movie...so i dont think it needs to be cleaned..but ill try it
