Welp I can admit when I’m wrong and I may have been exactly that about the Pro. My boy got one so I went over last night and tried it for about an hour, I logged in on my account on it and downloaded my save and picked up at the exact point in Immortals Of Aveum I’m at. Mind you, this isn’t one of the games that even got one of the official “Pro Enhanced” patches, they did nothing to it. And previously it was damn near straight up ugly on PS5. Blurry textures, choppy, artifacting, major pop-in, etc. Made it feel like an old ass game while playing it. Well that’s completely gone on the Pro. Not only is all that immediately gone, but I’d even go as far as saying it looks really good on the Pro. Not quite as good as high end PC, obviously, but not ugly by any means. Since it didn’t get an official patch, it’s obviously only looking better in the way it would on PC, by simply inserting a more powerful GPU, but at least on this game specifically, it was NOT a “splitting hairs” difference, it was night and day. Took it from dogshit ugly to straight up good looking. It was even more apparent when I got back home and popped it back in my base PS5.
No. We have essentially the exact same TV. He has a C1 I have a CX. A TV wouldn’t make that big of a difference anyways if the GPU can literally not properly render the textures and resolution. Blurry image is a GPU issue, not TV, unless you are on a complete trash TV.
Literally why would I lie. 😐 I was the Pro’s biggest hater and Sony’s bullshit overall lately disgusts me but I saw the shit wit my own eyes and don’t have too much pride to admit I was wrong. It took a distractingly ugly choppy game all the way to legitimately good looking and running smooth and stable. And that’s only my first and only game I got to test, which was one that didn’t even receive the Pro enhancement treatment. So I can only imagine the ones that did are even better. And I care a lot about graphics, hence why I dished out for a 4090, but this isn’t even minor insignificant shit that you would only notice if you know what to look for, I’m talking it completely transformed the game in a way that you would have to be fucking blind to NOT notice. If that’s the case for most games, then it is most definitely a worthy upgrade.
I'm already happy with the GOG versions of Warcraft 1 and 2, but I'm glad they did remasters instead of remakes. They actually look, dare I say it, GOOD!? Like the Starcraft remaster.
I will still refuse to play WC 3 Reforged though. I appreciate the QOL improvements, but they refuse to address the censorship

Honestly might sell my base PS5 and get one now.
