I loved all the games I played on my PSVR, but the ridiculous abundance of long ass cords, the need for the camera and to be sitting in the perfect position and perfect distance away from it, plus the long setup time was super unintuitive and made it feel pretty aged even when it was brand new. The way this is completely plug and play (And not even that, other than charging it.) and wireless and has perfect tracking from any position is a fucking gamechanger. Even for non-gaming. Spent the first like 45 minutes jus laying completely down, looking up and watching the 360 videos, virtual landscapes, and even the normal videos that appear like they’re on a theater screen in the headset. Hence why I immediately knew I gotta use it on a trip lmao. The sound is ice cold too. Love how you can use earbuds/headphones if you want, but that it’s noise cancelling and sounds like headphones out of the box, even tho nothing is actually in or on your ear.
Think I’ll buy either Beat Saber or Vader Immortal for my first game.
What can you do with it? sort of confused about different VR headsets.
What I'm really asking is can you watch VR porn?
Lmfao I would assume so. I haven’t checked if it has an internet browser, but I did see it had a “Virtual Desktop” app, where you can access your computer in VR if you have a PC or Mojave based Mac.
But it does a lil bit of everything. Games, obviously, but you can also watch 360 VR videos, there’s apps available where you can create your own 3D VR art, create VR landscapes (And be in others’ created scapes.), etc.
Primarily gaming tho. All the other stuff is cool add-ons and I wouldn’t suggest getting it if you don’t care about the games.

It’s full games. It has Superhot, Beat Saber, shit like that, but it’s lacking certain games that console and PC tethered VRs have, like Skyrim VR. But for me, I can’t use PC tethered VRs because I have a Mac, so between having the PSVR and now the Quest 2, there’s not many VR titles I’ll miss out on between the 2.
But also, according to this article, there’s a work around to get any game working seamlessly on the Quest 2 as if it were PC tethered like the Rift or the Vive. The article is about Half Lyfe Alyx being played on the Quest 2, but mentions that you can do it for any game as long as you’re on PC.
So your best overall option may still be the Quest 2 if you were to get only one headset, and add a PSVR to play PSVR exclusives. But the Quest is it’s own wireless thing, and also can double as a Rift, whereas the Rift only works plugged into a PC. So the Quest is still your best all around option. Me personally I can’t do that since I’m on Mac, so I do miss out on certain games, like Half Lyfe Alyx, but like I said I’m like 95% covered since I also have the PSVR.

We have the Oculus Rift S (wired to pc)
I don’t have a lot of time on it, it’s mostly my kid that plays it. Vader Immortal and Half Life game were both dope though. Seeing life size Vader face to face was an experience. He’s a big boy lol. Honestly it makes any game you can set to scale way more immersive. My kid recommended a game called Gorn, said it was a lot of fun.
PS VR works well, but is fairly limited performance wise. Oculus is a better experience overall (at least the Rift S, I haven’t used all the other versions) and is probably the way to go for a superior vr jerking experience. Being wired to the PC is probably what you want if you primarily concerned with busting a nut with it.
