I see what you're saying, but some bands are genuinely into this kind of Music and want to make it themselves. Like ADTR, they openly admit that they listen to Pop Rock shit and Post Hardcore. Blink 182 in their main influence. They don't try to act all Metal. They're true to themselves, and I respect that more than anything. Same thing with TDWP. Jeremy openly admits that he likes Rap more then Metal. Dan is into like....Indie shit. Mike is like the only huge Metalhead in the band. And the band also openly admits that from the beginning, their main influence was UnderOATH. Obviously since then, they've moved away from that, evolved, and got heavier, but still. They're not these poser Metalheads that are like "We're so fucking Metal, our favorite bands are Vital Remains and Behemoth.". Nah. They write what they want to.
