The crowd just sucked this year. I guess they were having problems selling tickets or whatever. I really don't care, I had fun. I laughed at Vince Neil saying someone told him that this was the best Ozzfest ever.
This all goes back to what we as a group have been saying most of the summer. Without the mainstream acts headlining nobody is going to sell many tickets. Even at 10.00 each Ozzfest still had a hell of a time selling tickets. The crowds will get even sparser if there aren't the mainstream acts to pull in the casual concert goer.
Tbh I liked it this way. It was nice to go to a show without an overabundance of scenefags.
Preach on little brother! There were definitely less morons there.
GOATWHORE — the New Orleans-based band featuring vocalist L. Ben Falgoust II (SOILENT GREEN) and guitarist Sammy Duet (ACID BATH, CROWBAR) — has been forced to cancel its appearance at today's (Saturday, August 21) Ozzfest in Hartford, Connecticut due to a "medical emergency" involving the group's bassist, James Harvey. The band says, "Apologies to all that are coming to see us."
No, I don't and it's pissing me off. I'm going to be there at noon though. I really want to know if Goatwhore is playing and when Kataklysm is playing.
i looked up the other dates and if you follow the pattern it should be skeletonwitch @1245, katakylsm, @115 goatwhore @145(if they play), saviours @ 215, then every other bands usual time, if they follow the pattern (which i dont see why not) of the previous dates, this should be right, but i'm not 100%. i'm leaving now for the show, so have fun!
Have a fun drive. Be prepared to get wet, they're calling for thunderstorms, and the sky actually does look like it's going to open up and I'm on lawn. Woot!
Nice. Sun's back out...for now. I'm kind of hoping for rain. Every time a festival I was going to called for rain, it's never rained...so going to a concert in the rain should be somewhat fun. The only time I got rained on was waiting to get into an AFI show. It was raining so hard they let us inside 45 minutes early.
If you paid $25 to park at one of the Susquehanna Bank Center venue parking lots, you should not have been charged to park. Ozzfest and Live Nation apologize for this mistake.
Please keep your parking ticket and check out www.ozzfest.com tomorrow morning for details on how to obtain a refund.
