I have seen 'Sunbather' overrated and name dropped in gay fashion and I don't think they're as good as a couple of comparable bands (specifically Wolves in the Throne Room), but it's a tasty album with a lot to like about it
What the fuck does the placement have to do wit anything? 8-|
I forgot, all of MU has their tattoo apprenticeships. 8-|
This guy does. The placement of tattoos actually says a lot to other people in society. Hand, neck and face tattoos mostly say "Dont hire me" or "I make minimum wage."
Honestly if you base your respect for anybody on their tattoos, clothing, style, etc., I want nothing to do wit you in the first place.
Dude, personally I don't give a damn what tats people have, but businesses do, and rightly so. It's gonna be hard to find a decent job with the wrong tattoos.
It doesn't matter if you give a fuck what people think. Like it or not, people judge shit by what they look like. That's just how people are. It's easy to say "I don't give a fuck" just like you did with the O.F. tattoo, but the reality is that it will probably come back to bite you in the ass because you still need to deal with people everyday. It makes getting jobs harder. People are less likely to rent a house to the guy with neck tattoo's. Face/neck/hand tattoos aren't really something you should do unless you're already in a sustainable career path. It would have 0 effect on the career of a musician for example, but if you ever have to work for somebody else, its generally not a good idea. Do what you want though, we both know you're gonna anyway. I'm sure I'm wasting my time by even trying.
And all I care about is music. Like you said, tattoos don't interfere wit that. To me, it's literally music or die, so I don't give a fuck what else it interferes wit.
It's also interesting how different cultures view tattoos and their subject matter. I got a lot of strange looks from all the locals when I went to The Dominican Republic. People were kinda avoiding contact with me, and at first I couldn't figure out why. Later, I asked a dude about it and he started pointing at my tattoos and said "evil", "evil", and "bad juju" )
Also, in Japan, tattoos are not allowed in public, ya gotta cover that shit. Damn Yakuza.
