That sucks dude. The apartment my buddies just moved into has a similar rule. Every time they pass the room mate's cat the one goes "Cant have my dog but we got stuck with this bitch ass cat." ) you can hear him mumbling it from the other room sometimes.
You still trying to buy that one dog or did that plan fall through? If I'm remembering correctly, you said something about buying one a while back.
The apartment complex I live at now has breed restrictions so Im looking for a place that doesnt. My lease is up in August so I gotta wait til then.
So does mine. They're just fucking idiots lol my neighbors wrote out the full breed name "American Staffordshire Terrier" aka a fucking breed of pitbull on the pet form and the apartment accepted it.
My old roommate had a rottweiler that was technically a mix but he was still like 90% rott and he listed him as a lab mix on our lease and no one ever said anything. Im not really tryna do that at my next place doe. I already violate the fuck out of the lease behind closed doors so Im gonna be up front with my landlord about that kinda shit. Im getting a purebred doberman and its gonna be pretty hard to pass him off as anything else. It seems like no one wants to rent to anyone with a doberman, pitbull or rottweiler. Its fuckin lame.
I don't blame you, I'd be to scared to risk something going wrong or getting caught and having to get rid of the dog. My neighbors dog that I posted got loose and luckily I saw him walking around and knew he wasn't in any way vicious. If some random mom came across him first and freaked out and called the cops/animal control/the office he'd have been fucked.
Yeah me and my roommate are currently looking for a Place that has no breed resctrictions, in-unit washer/dryer, and Fenced in back yard if possibls or at least a around an acre or so for my dog to run around amd shit. I think its gonna pretty tough to get approved though since my roomate is a full time student amd barely works. Im finna put down the deposit for my pup in 3-4 months and he'll be ready to take home in late august/early september.
I do work at a dog kennel so I could just make up some bullshit about how my dog is super well trained amd they might let it slide. A lot of craigslist ads say pets negotiable.
