its not even that. i know what i like and it doesn't take an entire album to figure it out. if it takes you an entire album to figure out if you like it then i feel sorry for ya for all the time you waste.
goes back to what an album really is.... it isn't 3-4 good songs with filler.
an album is a package... from the intro to the silence at the end. You wouldn't say: "i like this album; except for tracks 1, 3, 5, 7, 12" You either like the album or you dont.... and you can really decide that until you listen to it; in its entirety
no but i can say i don't like tracks 3,6,7 so im not even gonna waste my time with the rest of this album. hell if i pick one song and sorta like it i'll give it a full spin. im not gonna waste my time listening to an entire album i'm not going to like
I like listening to full albums before I make a decision on if it's good or not. All albums have at least two or more bad tracks depending on the artist.
because im on the look out for sad old little men who are to old to have children but want them and can't decide whether they want to get in bed with their wife because they aren't sexually active anymore

They aren't intended to be listened to piece by piece like that.
I see it as the same thing as watching a movie by starting with the opening scene, jumping to a scene in the middle, going to the end, then going to the fourth scene then saying you didn't like it because it was too confusing and the plot was tough to follow.

I can guarantee you there are at least 10 amazing albums you say you don't like because tracks 7, 1 and 9 aren't to your liking.
