We're debating whether it should be legal or not. When the nature of it's legality is in question, her point has merit. Yes, it's illegal, but should it?

Agreed. It's a shame that someone can't smoke weed but can drink all the friggin alcohol they want. I don't do either so I really don't know the effects personally but I'll tell you people that are high seem to carry themselves a hell of a lot better than people that are drunk, and are usually much easier to be around.
It's completely illegal in most states. In some you're allowed to have a certain amount on you and it's legal. You just have to know the laws and where to smoke if you do. Weed is much safer to do then alcohol, the gov just can't really find a way to tax it and regulate it. Because, well, your grandmother can grow it if she wants. It's just a plant
