SANDUSKY, OH (Toledo News Now) - Cedar Point says the track is now complete on its 170-foot tall roller coaster that will give a new look to the amusement park's front entrance.
Officials at the park in Sandusky say the final piece of track was put in place last Wednesday on the "winged" roller-coaster called GateKeeper.
A park spokeswoman tells WKYC-TV in Cleveland that construction is about two weeks ahead of schedule.
Cedar Point's new coaster is designed to make riders feel like they're flying.
The blue-steeled tubular coaster will have riders on seats that extend sideways from the track, with nothing above or below them.
The coaster will soar over a new main entrance and turn riders upside-down.
Never mind, for some reason I was thinking Schvllfewiwfwheiserbaaaaääann was in OH. If I visit, I'll go.
schlitterbahn was marginal at best. half of the park uses ice cold water, i'm talking like fucking freezing and is almost not enjoyable. i went on a lazy river type thing called the hot springs because i was tired of the ice cold water, it was also ice cold :-L i did a sky swing there and that was intense, highlight of the day.
Definitely going to go before Halloweekends this time lol Shit was 40 and windy when we went...which sounds fantastic since we're coming towards the end of winter...but at the time when everybody was used to it being in the 60's it was fucking freezing.
Read the article. From my understanding when its as packed with elements and fast you don't need a longer ride.
I know, I've watched the POV's many times from different places. Yeah, it looks fun and has that 153 degree overbanked turn, double barrel roll, and a lot of air time... I jsut think it ends too quickly. Looks fun, but just a tad short.
