skipping over 38 pages in this thread to say that I went to Six Flags Great America yesterday for the first time in about 10 years! It was awesome! There were a few downers in the day but bringing my kids on roller coasters for the first time was great!
That was one of the downers. X-Flight didn't run all day due to mechanical problems. Dark Knight wasn't running either. Due to height restrictions my son wouldn't have been able to ride X-Flight anyway but at least it would have made the lines shorter on some of the other coasters.
We also had about a 2 hour rain delay where everything was shut down, which sucked, but my son and I were able to get a 5 minute wait for Viper and then a 15 minute and a 20 minute wait for American Eagle right after the rain delay. (he loved the Eagle so we went on it twice in a row)
That's the things that sucks about six flag parks CF is that they don't maintain their rides well. I remember when I was little around 6 or so eagle was my favorite if that's the one with the loop(s) under a rock formation.
Jake I read about a suicide jumper at that place a few weeks ago
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
That reminds me, a few years ago my brother refused to go on this cupcake ride called the rainbow, it pretty much goes in the motion of a ferris wheel really fast. Basically went like this:
Me: lets go on the rainbow Bro: fuck that, some guy died on that ride. Me: .....because he had down syndrome and fucking jumped off Bro: still, I'm not going

The one with the loops in the rock formation is the Demon. Me and my 4 year old daughter when on that twice. She loved it. The Eagle is the huge white wood coaster with the 150 ft drop at the beginning.
